David Neal Worrell, 57, of Tucker, Georgia, died July 29, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital following an extended illness. He was born December 24, 1955, in Toccoa, Georgia, the son of William H. Worrell, Jr. and Laura Jeane Worrell. David was an active member of Boy Scouts of America, and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He lived in Atlanta, Georgia, and worked as a warehouse manager for Day-1 Production Services in Atlanta, Georgia. David served his country during the late 1970's in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Jeane Worrell, and is survived by his father, William H. Worrell, Jr. of Tucker, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Delos Johnson of Maylene, Alabama; brother and sister-in-law, William and Harriett Worrell of Cornelia, Georgia; and brother, Rick Worrell of Atlanta, Georgia and his partner, Shayne Sullivan of Atlanta, Georgia. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Rehoboth Presbyterian Church in Decatur, Georgia, at 3PM. The family will receive friends from 2PM until the funeral at 3PM at the church. Rev. Rachel Whaley-Pate will officiate and burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Atlanta Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, 1800 Circle 75 Pkwy, Atlanta GA 30339.
