Dawn Smith Moore

Dawn Smith Moore, 61, of Atlanta, passed away on Sunday, February 6, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Moore grew up in Thomaston, Georgia, and lived most of her adult life in the Atlanta area. An accomplished artist and decorator, Mrs. Moore worked for J.C. Penney and later Rich's as a decorating consultant in the Atlanta area. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her father Leon Smith of Thomaston. Survivors include her mother Mildred Smith of Fayetteville; her husband Mike Moore of Atlanta; her daughter Laura Patrick of Savannah; her sister Jill Entrekin of Peachtree City; her sister Kay Smith of Dallas, Texas; her brother Al Smith of Atlanta; her step-son Zach Moore of Memphis, Tennessee; her step-son Josh Moore of Oxford, Mississippi; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 9, at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 2773 North Decatur Rd., Decatur, GA 30033. Family will receive visitors at that location immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
