Deborah Deal Carlile, 1952-2013, died May 9th, after a long battle with cancer. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Georgia Southern University and a Master's Degree from Emory. Deborah worked as an Anesthetist at Emory Hospital, West Paces Ferry Hospital, and DeKalb Medical Center, touching many lives with her care and compassion. She had a life long commitment to achieving deeper understanding, a gift for simplifying things that were difficult to understand and a radiant smile that would light up the room. She will be deeply missed. Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Roger Carlile; mother, Jean Deal; sister, Colleen Putnam; and nephew, Richard Baton. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, June 29, 2013, in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, with Rev. Lee Carlile officiating. A celebration of life will be held at 6 pm, with information on the location available at the memorial service. The family asks that no flowers be sent for the service, but donations, in Deborah's memory, may be made to a charity of one's choice, or to ShakespeareTavern.com, whose mission and work Deborah supported for many years.
