Dedra Sessions

Miriam Dedra Jones Sessions of Lawrenceville died Tuesday, August 3, 2004.  She was born August 4, 1946 to Charles Franklin and Miriam Vandergriff Jones.  Dedra graduated from Tucker High School in 1964.  She attended Tift College and DeKalb Jr. College and retried from Lucient Technology (Western Electric, AT&T) after 25 years of service. She is a member of Decatur First Baptist Church.  Dedra is survived by her mother, Miriam Vandergriff Jones of Atlanta, GA; her brother, Peter Van Jones of Atlanta, GA; sister, Priscilla Jones Tunnell of Rome, GA; uncle, Berry Vandergriff of Atlanta, GA; and nephew, Mark Vaughan Tunnell and family of Rome, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 6th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Dr. Peter Rhea Jones and Rev. Priscilla J. Tunnell will officiate.  Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
