Denis Xavier Trelease

April 30, 1946 — November 28, 2014

Denis Xavier Trelease, 68, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday November 28, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia. He recently had been diagnosed with lung disease. Born in Newark, NJ, on April 30, 1946, he was the third of four sons born to George and Jane Trelease. Regarded as the resident entertainer in every classroom and the life of every party, he attended Springfield public schools and graduated from Cathedral High School and American International College. After college he served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam for one year and was devoted to veterans causes thereafter. After early success in sales where he won numerous national awards, he spent the bulk of his career as an executive with Baxter International. He resided in Lilburn, GA, where he was an avid gardener and golfer. Denis is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janet; daughter Kate of St. Petersburg, FL; son Sean of Lilburn, GA; and grandson Logan Trelease. He also is survived by his three brothers: Jim (Susan) of Enfield, CT; Brian (Mary) of Hobe Sound, FL and Longmeadow; Gregory (Regina) of East Longmeadow; and numerous nieces and nephews.
