Diane Jett

Mrs. Diane Dean Jett was born on December 10, 1939, at Crawford Long Hospital Atlanta, GA. Born the only child of Major M. B. Dean and Elizabeth Wright Dean. Diane traveled the world from Germany to Japan with her career Army family. Diane graduated from Frankford High School in Frankfort, Germany.

She fell in love and married Air Force Captain James R Brimacombe at 18 years old. They continued the theme of travel through their marriage to all parts of Asia and the world. They had two children, Edward Bruce Brimacombe and Diana Lynn Brimacombe. She came back to her true home of the USA and raised her children as a single mom.

Diane remarried her best friend Edward Smith Jett. She often referred to him as the love of her life.

Diane began her work in the banking industry in Colorado Springs, Co. and when she came back to her home state of Georgia, she found her place as one of the first school crossing guards for the DeKalb County Police Department in 1970. Diane also worked in sales and administration for Carey Paul Ford at the same time. She had several adventures in the business world for many years until she returned to the DeKalb County Police Department and worked her way up from the Records Room to become the Assistant to the Chief of Detectives.

After retiring from DeKalb County, Diane returned to the work force again, in one of her other lifelong loves, the bowling world.

She with Stars & Strikes combining her love for bowling with working in finance. She was with Stars & Strikes until her passing. Over 12 years of joy and laughter with this wonderful company. She served 35 years of USBC Women's Championship.

Diane enjoyed traveling with her friends and family. "Mammaw" took her children, grandchildren to many places in the USA such as Graceland, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Daytona Beach, many parts of Florida-Bama line, not to forget the Grand Canyon, California, to mention only a few.

Diane was a member of the Church at Decatur Heights and was involved with many community support activities such as the raising of gifts for children during Christmas for both her church and the DeKalb County Police F.O.P.

Mammaw loved her family and friends with all her heart and she was loved in return by so many.

She will live on through a HUGE family; son Bruce Brimacombe, daughter Diana Blake and her husband David.

Grand-daughters Ariel, Alysa Brimacombe, Mrs Kayla Gulley and Ms. Kasey Bezio, great grand-daughters Aurora and Junie B., great-grandsons Ellis Gulley, Ayden and Raylan Bezio.

Her Alabama family : Step Daughters Mrs Cindy & husband Micheal Mitchell, Mrs.Pam & husband David Ragan and Michael Jett & husband Jim Moes.

Grandchildren include Jessica, Lindsey & Grand-son Justin & Jacob. Their spouses Kasey Jones & Justice Mitchell & Madison Ragan. Great grandchildren include Eleanor, Joise Jones and Samantha Mitchell.

She was Mammaw to many beloved children and grown adults. With her strong faith, she now is dancing to her favorite music with all of the Angels in heaven.
