Dolores Stanton White

Dolores Stanton White died Monday, December 05, 2011. Born March 5, 1930 in Cordele, GA, Dolores lived in Stone Mountain since 1969. She was the controller for International Marketing and Management based out of Denver, CO and retired in 1990 after 37 years of service. She was a loyal member of Avondale Estates First Baptist Church, where she and her husband, Charlie, coordinated the Home Bound Ministries. They were also active members of the Bill Williams Sunday School Class. Dolores lived for her husband and all of her children. She loved to entertain, decorate, was a gifted pastel artist and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, James "Jimmy" White and survived by her husband, Charlie White of Stone Mountain; son and daughter-in-law, David and Vicki White of Dacula; daughter-in-law, Connie White of Athens; grand children, Trent and Laura White of Canton, Kyle and Stacy White of Bethlehem and Sherry White of Dacula; great grandchildren, Brogan and Morgan White of Bethlehem, Trey and Eden White of Canton; brother, Bill Stanton of Cumming; and many nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Clay Bowden officiating. Interment will be in Macon Memorial Park at 3:00 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the OTSAR Fund at Avondale Estates First Baptist Church, 47 Covington Road, Avondale Estates, GA 30002 (404-294-5284). The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Tuesday and 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
