Donald Lance Chapman, Sr.

Donald L. Chapman passed away on January 1, 2022. He was 84 years old. Don retired from Bellsouth telephone company after 35 years of service and was a U.S. navy veteran prior to that time. Don was a lifelong resident of Decatur, where he was born. He is preceded in death by his father Elmer Chapman and his mother Nell Chapman, as well as his Brother Nevin Chapman. He is Survived by his Wife of 62 years, Virginia Chapman, as well as his 3 children, Donald Jr., David, and Virginia Ann. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at the Decatur Cemetery on Wednesday January 5, 2022 at 2 pm.
