Donna Pauline Nash, 98, of Decatur passed away peacefully on Sunday May 4, 2014 following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Frederick Larkin Nash. Known by some as Donna, Pauline was born in Ball Ground, Georgia on October 22, 1915 to Arthur and Jessie Ray. She was baptized at Harmony Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Cherokee County, Georgia. Pauline worked for many years as a seamstress for Davison's (now Macy's) and enjoyed sewing with family and friends. She devoted her life to her parents, siblings and their children. Pauline was kind and loving, and that love was shared by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Pauline is survived by her sister, Ruby Haley of Canton, Georgia, and a brother, Bobby R. Ray, Sr. of Peachtree City. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Dot Cheek Nash of Decatur. Pauline's life and love was also enhanced by and extended to many wonderful and devoted nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and by those who cared for her in her final years at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Tucker. Her funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in the chapel at A. S. Turner and Sons. Leading in the celebration of Pauline's life will be Rev. Paul Carder, the Pastor of Southside Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker immediately thereafter.
