Doris Buice, 91, went home to be with the Lord June 25, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Buice, of 73 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Glazener, granddaughter Stephanie Randall (George), grandsons Mark and Adam (Teresa) Glazener, great grandsons Andrew (Stephanie) Matthew and Christopher Randall and Dylan Glazener. She has one surviving sibling, Jeanne Quick, Sydney, OH, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was born in Haralson, GA, and lived most of her young life in the Stone Mountain area. She lived in Avondale Estates, GA, for 50 years where she and her husband owned and operated a shoe repair business. She was known for her excellent cooking. She was also an accomplished seamstress and did beautiful embroidery. Doris and her husband lived with their daughter in Chattanooga, TN, for five years before entering the nursing home where she died. She was a faithful member of Memorial Lighthouse Baptist Church, Stone Mtn., where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Joy Class and WMS. Visitation will be at Turner Funeral Home, Decatur, GA, Friday, June 29, 5 -7pm and Saturday, June 30, 9-11am before the service. Service will be Saturday, June 30, 11am at the Turner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Norris Nash and Bishop Richard Coleman officiating. The burial will be at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lawrenceville Hwy., Tucker, GA. Memorial contributions may be made to HOSPICE of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37416. A. S.
