Doris Parham Miller

Doris Parham Miller, age 93, passed away on February 6, 2017. She was born in Atlanta on March 4, 1923, to Robert and Ethel Parham. She was a graduate of Girls' High School in Atlanta. She was a member of Decatur First Baptist Church. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, husband Samuel L. Miller, brothers Robert Jr., Carl, and Earl Parham, and grandchild Lauren Burtz.

She is survived by three children, Jolinda Collins, Kayanne Burtz, Woody Miller, and son-in-law Mike Burtz; grandchildren Bethany Collins, Chris Collins, Kristen Taylor, Daniel Miller, Eric Miller, Heather Miller, and five great grandchildren; brother Paul Parham, sister-in-law Mary Ruth Parham, sister Ruth Manning, and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 3 p.m. at A.S. Turner & Sons, Decatur. The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. prior to the service.
