Doris Sheel Howell

Doris Sheel Howell, age 80, of Decatur died Monday, January 30, 2006. She graduated from Girls High School in 1943 and also graduated from Atlanta Junior College. Mrs. Howell served 36 years as pastors' secretary at Druid Hills Baptist church to 4 ministers, Dr. Louie D. Newton, Dr. Harold D. Zwald, Dr. Robert Defoor and Dr. Paul Mims. Mrs. Howell is survived by her husband of 58 years, James J. Howell; daughter, Diane H. Stephens; son-in-law, David J. Stephens; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Mark Stephens of Snellville, GA. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 3rd, Dr. Harold D. Zwald officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Abbey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
