Dorothy Brooks O'Callaghan

Mrs. Dorothy Brooks O'Callaghan of Atlanta died Monday, October 25, 2010. She was born October 31, 1924 in Atlanta, graduated from North Fulton High School and attended Georgia State University. She was an active member and alum of Delta Lambda Sigma sorority, the Crimson Key Honor Society and Phi Chi Theta professional fraternity. Mrs. O'Callaghan was an executive secretary, housewife and mother, and department supervisor with J. C. Penney. She enjoyed roller skating well into her 60's. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Leland O'Callaghan, Jr.; sisters, Jane Brooks Kraft (Doby) of Savannah and Ann Brooks Sharp (W.B.) of Atlanta. Mrs. O'Callaghan is survived by sons, David Burns O'Callaghan of Fairfax, CA, Lee O'Callaghan and wife Jean of Atlanta; granddaughters, Ariel O'Callaghan of Fairfax, CA, Lori O'Callaghan Wyse (Andrew) of Belton SC, Elizabeth O'Callaghan of Atlanta; great granddaughter, Allison Lee Wyse; sister-in-law Jean Price O'Callaghan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 11 A. M. Thursday, October 28th, with Dr. Bill Bigger officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. A. S.
