Dorothy Dinkler Buckhalt passed away peacefully July 15, 2010. Mrs. Buckhalt was born in Macon, Georgia and moved to Atlanta as a small child, where she became a life long resident. She was an active member of Druid Hills Baptist Church for over 50 years serving in various organizations including acting as President of her Sunday School. In recent years she moved to Illinois to be closer to her daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Kenney Shepherd Buckhalt, Sr. and her son K. Shepherd Buckhalt, Jr. She is survived by her daughter Judith (Steven) Draska of Highwood Illinois, grandchildren Christopher Steven Draska of Chicago, Britt Kennedy Draska of Los Angeles, many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Harold D. Zwald officiating. Interment Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at A. S. Turner & Sons
