Dorothy E. Beagle

August 3, 1923 — September 3, 2008

Mrs. Dorothy E. Beagle a longtime resident of Atlanta died September 3, 2008. She was preceded in death by her son, Mr. Tom Beagle and her husband of 64 years Mr. Harlie L. Beagle. Mrs. Beagle retired from the Georgia Power Company after a long and dedicated career. She was an avid reader especially mystery novels or as she put it “Who Done It’s”. She enjoyed traveling and the dining experience. After retirement her 4 grandchildren became her life and they always had a special place in her heart. Mrs. Beagle was a longtime active member of OakGroveUnitedMethodistChurch and the Mariners Sunday School Class. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. Bill and Mrs. Chris Beagle of Snellville; daughter, Mrs. Pat Beagle; grandchildren, Anna, Katie, Halley, Dylan; and sister, Mrs. Marjorie Burks of Beaumont, TX. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, September 6^th, at eleven o’clock at OakGroveUnitedMethodistChurch with the remains being placed in state at ten o’clock. Reverend Glen Etheridge, Reverend Louis Miller, and Reverend Matt Dierdorff officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard. For those who prefer in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Honduras Missions at OakGroveUnitedMethodistChurch, 1722 Oak Grove Road, Decatur, GA30033. Friends are invited to visit with the family Friday from four until eight o’clock in the evening at A. S. Turner & Sons.
