Mrs. Dorothy (Dotty) Williams Fellows, 99, of Decatur, GA passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at VistaCare Hospice at Bud Terrace surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, George R. Fellows; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Leonard Williams of Dayton, OH; her sister, Kathryn McNerney of Middleburg, FL; and brother, Arnold E. Williams of Glenview, IL.  Dotty is survived by her daughter, Patsy Belcher of Decatur; son, Steven Fellows; and daughter-in-law, Joan Fellows of Rome, GA; 5 grandchildren, Sharon Holmes of Atlanta, Patricia B. Eastwood and Larry of Franklin, TN, Bill Belcher, III and Alyssa of Tucker, Scott Alan Fellows and Sheryl of Eatonton and Christopher John Fellows and Dwan of Bluffton, SC, step-grandson, Wes Mahaffey and Christi of Douglasville; 10 great grandchildren; one step great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews. Dotty was a graduate of Ohio State University where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She moved to Decatur, GA with her husband George while a newlywed and has been a Decatur resident for over 75 years. She served as a substitute teacher with the DeKalb County School System. She was a devoted member of Decatur First United Methodist Church since 1938. Dotty was also a member of The Atlanta Athletic Club. As an active member of her church, she served as President of The Paty Class, was active in the United Methodist Women, and instrumental in the formation of the church library. Skilled in the art of needlepoint, she played an active role in the creation of the altar kneelers now used in the sanctuary. A wonderful mother and role model for the family, she will be missed by all.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 17th at 11:00 A.M. in the sanctuary of Decatur United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Decatur Cemetery with a private family gathering at a later time. Those desiring may make donations to the Decatur First United Methodist Church,  The American Cancer Society or  a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
