Dorothy Jean Malone

Mrs. Dorothy J. Malone, 83, of Tucker, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019.

Mrs. Malone was born 1935 in Talladega, Alabama, daughter of the late William Ansel Fulmer and Margaret Hubbard Fulmer. She graduated from the Sylacauga School of Nursing in Sylacauga, Alabama.

Her accomplishments include 5-years as the head nurse for the maternity ward of Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta before embarking on a 40-year career as head nurse for Dr. Edward Fisher, MD.

She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles W. Fulmer and Richard L. Fulmer.

She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Jerry P. Malone, Jr., age 93, along with multiple nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Those desiring may contribute to Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 1722 Oak Grove Rd, Decatur, GA 30033 in memory of Dorothy J. Malone.
