Dorothy Lee Conaway

Mrs. Dorothy Lee Conaway, age 79, of Decatur, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Born to Henry and Rena Cantrell in Buford, she was the middle daughter of 5 siblings. Mrs. Conaway graduated from Buford High School, Class of 1951. A totally devoted mother and grandmother, she was an excellent seamstress and doll maker. Her beautiful creations will be timeless treasures. She was preceded in death by her husband, OV Conaway, sister, Pauline Whitaker, and brother, James Cantrell. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly R. Conaway of Lawrenceville; son and daughter-in-law, James C. and Sherry Conaway of Conyers; son, Timothy L. Conaway of Decatur; grandchildren, Melissa Conaway, Whitney Conaway and Andrew Conaway; honorary grandchildren, Bitty, Lucky and Spike Conaway; sister, Penny Warwick of Monticello; brother, Jesse Cantrell of McDonough; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Charles Huggins and Rev. Preston Loggins officiating. Interment, Dawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at A. S. Turner & Sons.
