Mrs. Dorothy (Dot) S. Mock of Peachtree City passed away on November 29, 2021 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian R. Mock and is survived by her daughters, Terry Mock and Christy Tate, and her son, Alan Mock and his wife, Joy. She also leaves behind a sister, Catherine Garcia, and six grandchildren.
Dot was born in Russellville, AL on January 15, 1933 to parents, Carl and Vivian Strange. Raised in the cotton mill community of Sylacauga, AL, she was the first born in a family of ten children. Following high school, Dot served her country in the U. S. Air Force. While stationed in Fayetteville, NC, she met Julian, then a young lieutenant. They were married for 64 years. She lived her adult life in the Atlanta area and on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay, AL. She worked as an administrative assistant at several schools and businesses while raising three children.
During retirement, Dot became an avid golfer. She was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church in Fayetteville, GA and enjoyed singing in the choir.
