Dorothy Mcgarity

Mrs. Dorothy Mertz McGarity, 89, of Atlanta died Saturday, August 26, 2017. Preceded in death by her late husband, Dr. William C. McGarity, Sr., she is survived by a sister JoAnn Mertz, and children William C. McGarity, Jr., Thomas E. McGarity, Dorothy M. Bentley, Elizabeth M. Jackson, their spouses, and eleven grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Glenn Memorial Methodist Church, an avid gardener, beloved mother, and grandmother. Memorial gifts may be sent to Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, Atlanta, GA. Visitation will be held at A.S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA, on Wednesday, August 30th from 6pm-8pm. Funeral services will be held at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church at 1pm, Thursday, August 31st. Interment will follow at Jersey United Methodist Church Cemetery. A.S.
