Dorothy Virginia McGee entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, August 14, 2007, in Atlanta, GA. Virginia was born on April 30, 1918 and at the age of 8 accepted Christ as her personal Savior. In 1936 she married Eugene McGee after he made a profession of faith in Christ as a result of Virginia?s influence. She and Eugene attended Nyack College and for the next 65 years she faithfully worked beside her husband in the ministry of Youth for Christ and as a chaplain?s and pastor?s wife. She was especially loved for her warm friendship and generous hospitality. She also devoted her time to raising her children. One of the greatest joys of her life was praying for and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The promises in the Bible, and especially the Scripture in Joshua 1:9, carried Virginia through life, which took her all over the world. Virginia is survived by three daughters; Sarah (and husband Don Penna), Miriam (and husband Claude Jeanrenaud), and Becki (and husband Joe Hoisington); and three sons, Tim (and wife Bonnie), John, and Nathan (and wife Mary); thirteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A public viewing will be held on Friday, August 17th, from 4-8 PM at the A. S. Turner Funeral Home, 2773 N. Decatur Road, in Decatur, GA. Interment will be on Saturday, August 18th, at 11:00 AM at the Duluth Cemetery in Duluth, GA. A memorial service will be held at The First Alliance Church, 2512 N.
