Dorothy Witt Jackson

December 5, 1910 — March 6, 2012

Dorothy Witt Jackson, age 101, passed away March 6, 2012. A native of Atlanta, Mrs. Jackson spent most of her married life there and was a member of First Baptist Church of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Charles Henry Jackson, and their son, Phillip. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Ted Reddy of Bluffton SC; granddaughter and her husband, Rebecca and Jonathan Stephens; granddaughter and her husband, Patricia and Jeff Craig; great grandchildren, Ryan and Taylor Craig. The funeral service for Mrs. Jackson will be held 1 PM, Friday, March 9, 2012, at the graveside in Greenwood Cemetery with Crossroads Hospice Chaplain Jerry Gentry officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta GA 30346. The family will receive friends 5-7 Thursday evening, March 8, at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory.
