Dr. Charles W. Beasley, Sr.

Funeral Services for Dr. Charles W. Beasley, Jr. will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 11 a.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons with burial in Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2005. Dr. Beasley, an Atlanta podiatrist for over 46 years, was a Life Member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and served as president of the State of Georgia Podiatric Examining Board. He was a member of Druid Hills Baptist Church before moving to Social Circle, GA where he became a member of the First Baptist Church of Social Circle. Dr. Beasley was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Charles W. Beasley, Sr. and by his mother, Susan Underwood Beasley. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Castellaw Beasley; a daughter, Charlene and her husband Bill Clegg; a son, Charles W. Beasley, III; two grandsons, Joel (Angela) Clegg and Chester (Emily) Clegg; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be officiated by Dr. William Tribble, Dr. Harold Zwald, and Rev.
