Dr. John Carl Bleichner

February 2, 1955 — January 19, 2018

Dr. John Carl Bleicher (“Jay” to family and friends) passed in peace Friday, January 19, 2018 at the age of 62. He is survived by his wife and long time friend Gail. He was the loving father to Laura and Doug, and brother to Edward and Paul. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Jay will be fondly remembered as a loving father, devoted bass guitar player, Bonsai master gardener, lover of Siamese cats, and avant-garde painter. He was a man with numerous and varied interests. Jay was a dedicated pathologist. He graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and received a medical degree from St. Georges University Medical School. Completing a pathology residency at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., Jay went on to obtain board certification in pathology and practiced for over 30 years. He was a partner pathologist with Southeastern Pathology Associates (SEPA).
Jay was born and raised in Altamont, New York, the youngest of three sons of Charles and Marguerite Bleichner. He was most recently a member of Lyons First Methodist Church. Jay will be greatly missed by family, friends, and colleagues.
