Dr. John H. (Jack) Affleck, 86, of Stone Mountain, died Friday, April 17, 2009. He had a successful medical career and was a decorated veteran of 3 wars serving in the Army, Marines and Air Force, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. Dr. Affleck was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Affleck. He is survived by his sons, Richard Affleck and wife Carolyn, Jack Affleck, Jr.; daughter, Linda Affleck Schauer and husband Jim; grandchildren, Jessie and Elizabeth Affleck, Julia and Betsy Schauer, Carol Lee Hawkins and husband Chris; great granddaughter, Alexandra Hawkins; and brother, Tom Affleck, Jr. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 20th at 2:30 P. M. at Decatur Cemetery with Dr. Tom Van Laningham officiating.
