Earl Roper Tuten

December 17, 1929 — December 31, 2014

Earl Roper Tuten, age 85 of Atlanta, GA, went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2014. He was born on December 17, 1929 in Belhaven, NC to the late Henry Tuten and Zuna Roper Tuten. He worked for many years in the automotive industry and was the owner/operation of several businesses, including Atlanta Alternator and Starters.

Mr. Tuten was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sister, Lila Bishop, his sons, Daniel Tuten and Tony Clark and his daughter, Sharon Gearheart. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Carolyn Boling Tueten, a sister, Barbra Ann Tuten, one step-daughter, Elaine Sexton of Mt. Airy, GA, one step-son, Wayne Clark of Snellville, GA, six grandchildren, and four great-grand children.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Jannuary 4, 2015 from 11:30 until 1:30 pm. Funeral Services will be in the funeral home chapel at 2pm with Rev. Steve Sexton officaiating. Interment will be heald on Monday, January 5, 2014 at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenville, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Emory University Core Value Heart Program.
