Eclecte Alexander

Mrs. Eclecte Alexander of Atlanta died December 20, 2009.  She is preceded in death by her daughter, Effie and husband, John.  Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Alexander, Atlanta; brothers Nick Tsiropoulos and Andrew Tsiropoulos and several nieces and nephews. She graduated from the College of Charleston in 1940 and taught in the public school system.  She married in 1950 and moved to Atlanta.  She was the longtime Sunday School Director at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, she retired after 30 years of service in 1993. She was a member of the Philoptochos Society.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2009, 1 P. M.  at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 7 P. M. with a prayer service at 7 P. M. at A.S. Turner & Sons. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, 2500 Clairmont Road, Atlanta, Ga. 30329.  A. S.
