Edgar Thomas Fowlkes

Edgar Thomas Fowlkes (Eddie) died peacefully on April 1, 2016 after a 17 month battle with brain cancer. He was born October 30, 1953. He was the son of Gwendolyn Rice Fowlkes and the late Will Doc Fowlkes, Sr. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lynne Fowlkes Brady. He is survived by his wife Anne Wyche Fowlkes, daughter Martha Fowlkes Erickson (Peter) grandson Shep, three brothers WD Fowlkes, Jr., David (Lisa), Jimmy (Elena) and numerous nieces and nephews. Eddie was a graduate of Decatur High School and coached baseball and Cross Country. After retirement he worked for the Atlanta Braves in the museum and as a tour guide. He was a Deacon and an Elder at North Ave. Presbyterian Church, Where a memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00am.
