Edward Archie "Eddie" Lett died May 23, 2016, in Atlanta, after a long illness. He was born in Atlanta November 11, 1946, attended local schools and graduated from Therrell High School, David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tennessee, and Georgia State University for post-graduate studies. He was a life-long member of the church of Christ. Eddie was in the U. S. Army as a paratrooper during the Vietnam War, and worked as a teacher most of his career.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Archie and Mary Louise Jackson Lett, and by his sister Maura "Morgana" Lett Stewart. He leaves his wife, Latiffe, son Edward Antonio "Tony" of New York City, step-son Alex Zambrano, and three grandchildren; his sisters Joye Quinn (Mrs. Frank W.) and Celia Lett, of Atlanta, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial Service will be held at A. S. Turner & Sons on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation at 1:00.
