Edward Dale File

Edward Dale File, 79, of Atlanta, Georgia, died Friday, October 22, 2021. He was born in Pope, Mississippi and after growing up on a farm he was the first in his family to attend college. He graduated from Delta State University and later received his masters from West Georgia College. He moved to Georgia after Delta State to begin his teaching career. Ed was a eacher for 25 years in the Cobb County school system. He loved his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was the son of Keith Dale File and Willine File and a beloved husband, father, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Terry File and wife Eileen File, Danny File, and two brothers in law, Thomas North Jr and John North. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra North File, daughter and son in law, Lori and Jeff Willis, sister in law Martha File, brother in law James and wife Patsy North, brother in law Charles North, step grandchildren Bryan and wife Teagan Willis, Blake and wife Jordan Willis, William and wife Ashley Willis, and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 5 to 7pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and funeral services will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 11am, with Pastor Stephen Streett officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park.
