William Edward Mobley Bolling died Friday, April 4, 2014 from complications of diabetes at the age of 57. Born in Birmingham, AL on October 13, 1956, Ed was baptized into the Catholic faith at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, AL where he also attended elementary school. After moving to Roswell, GA with his family in 1971, he graduated from Roswell High School and attended Georgia State University where he became a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Ed will always be in the hearts of his family and friends and remembered as a man who endured the last years of his life with remarkable resilience, becoming, to all who knew him, an example of the undeniable human will to survive. No matter the obstacle, Ed faced his physical challenges with an optimism and grace not often found. Ed fathered three loving children and is survived by son, William Terrence Bolling and daughter-in-law Ryki Wulff Bolling of Hiram, GA;, daughter, Olivia Kathleen Bolling of Powder Springs, GA and daughter, Caroline Victoria Bolling of Woodstock, GA; mother, Annette Mobley Bolling;, sister. Katherine DeVore Bolling and life partner, Amy Ferraro, all of Atlanta, GA; sister, Elizabeth Lee Bolling of Clearwater, FL; brother, Thomas Newton Bolling and sister-in-law Laureen Schipsi of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and step-grandchildren, a niece and numerous cousins. A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, May 10 at 11 a.m. at the New Covenant Church of Atlanta, located at 2091 Faulkner Rd., Atlanta, GA 30324, where Ed found peace in the Lord and a loving community of friends whose acceptance and support buoyed his indomitable spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Ed's name. Arrangements are being handled by A.S.
