Elba R. Alfaro

Elba Rose Alfaro (85) passed peacefully on February 22, 2016 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Born in Portillo, Chile to Francisco and Gumercinda Maldonado, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward and is survived by her children, Eduardo Alfaro (Alexis), Eleazar Alfaro, William Alfaro, Diane Alfaro Guigou (Eduardo); grandchildren, Rachael, Brittany, Tori, Alyssa and Leah; nieces Brenda (David), Corinne, Caitlin and nephews Hugo (Sarah), Charles, and David (Scott) and her brothers-in-law, Hugo Alfaro, Sr and Sammy Alfaro. Visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 6:00-8:00 PM at A.S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA. The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, February 27, 11:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Briarcliff Road with internment to follow at Melwood Cemetery on E Ponce de Leon Ave. Love and gratitude to Sammy and Christa Alfaro for hosting the reception for friends to be held at Petite Auberge Restaurant, 2935 N Druid Hills Rd, Atlanta from 3:00-5:00 PM following the burial.
