Eleanor Louise Pratt

Louise Stochdale Pratt, 92, died at her home in Atlanta on Friday November 7, 2014. Born November 8, 1921, in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Marie (Reynolds) Stockdale. In 1941, she was married to the George W. "Jiggs" Pratt, Sr., who preceded her in death. She moved to Decatur as a teen where she graduated from Decatur Girls' High School. She also attended Agnes Scott College and The University of Georgia. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she worked for almost 30 years as a secretary/receptionist, retiring in 2010. She leaves two daughters, Celeste P. Murphy and Julie Sandock both of Atlanta; two sons: George (Sharon) Pratt of Buxton, NC and Andy (Anne) Pratt of Pine Knoll Shores, NC: one sister: Celeste S. Wright of Columbia, SC; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Ronald McDonald House or Children's Health Care of Atlanta. There will be a funeral mass at 11 am on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Briarcliff Road, Atlanta. A wake/rosary will be held will be held 6 pm to 8 pm, Thursday, Nov. 20, at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory in Decatur, GA.
