Eleanor Medlock Green

December 24, 1936 — December 20, 2009

Eleanor Medlock Green, age 73, died unexpectedly on December 20, 2009. Born December 24, 1936, she was an Atlanta native and lifelong resident. A graduate of Bass High School, she attended Georgia State University and briefly worked for Trust Co. of Georgia before accepting employment at Atlanta Gas Light Co. where she worked for thirty-eight years before retiring in 1995. She was an active member, Deacon and Treasurer of Druid Hills Baptist Church, and had previously been active with Zoo Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Ralph M. Medlock, Sr. and Mrs. Lynnelle Berry Medlock as well as her husband, Jim. Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Emily Rabb of Chattanooga, TN; her brother, Mr. Ralph M. Medlock, Jr. and Mrs. Amy A. Medlock of Cleveland, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was greatly loved and will be as surely missed. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A. S.
