Eleanor Westcott

Mrs. Eleanor B. Westcott, born December 19, 1927 to Ralph and Ardelle Butler in Albany, Georgia, died July 20th, 2004 in Decatur at the age of 77.  Eleanor and her husband, Pierre, who went before her in 1993, had made Atlanta their home since 1953.  A devoted wife and homemaker, she also served as president of the North Atlanta Garden Club and the North Atlanta Womens Club, Cub Scout Den mother, and long time member of the Brookhaven Methodist Church.  She has lived in Decatur in recent years, where she finally succumbed to Parkinsons Dimensia.  She is survived by her two sons, David Westcott in Decatur, Georgia, his wife, Leigh; and their son, Collins; and daughter, Carly; and Bill Westcott in Houston, Texas, his wife, Sandra, and their three sons, Ben, Adam, and Dan.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 23rd and 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24th at A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur.  A memorial service will be held the following day at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.
