Elizabeth (Liz) Ralston - Born May 31, 1954, transitioned on November 19, 2023
Liz was born and raised in Blue Ridge, Georgia to Winston and Bernadine Ralston. She grew up loving to play outside. From the time she could walk she could be found on the ballfield or basketball court. Later in life she had a great passion for tennis and golf.
As an esteemed physical therapist for decades, Liz's warmth, sense of humor, patience, and kindness helped transform hundreds if not thousands of patients' lives. She brought the same dedication to her friends and family. Finding great joy in bringing her loved ones together from the "Desert Night Gang" and Ooey-Gooey-Chewy Butter Cake to Atlanta sporting events, meals, homemade video tributes, trips to her beloved cabin on North Georgia's Toccoa River and to vacations in Western North Carolina to pan for gemstones. She made sure that her good "friend" Chuckie was at all major family events. She was a die-hard Falcons and Braves fan. She would "Rise Up" for every game and sometimes do a little dance whether they won or lost.
Lizzie could spin a yarn like none other; her favorite saying was "Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story." Her keen sense of humor was reliable and never far from any situation. She was positive beyond belief and could always find the good in everyone and every situation. Lizzie so loved her nieces and nephews and had a magical way of making each one of them feel special, like they were each her favorite, and they all were! In fact, she had the ability to make everyone around her feel special.
Liz will be sorely missed by her Spouse of 31 years, Carol Orndorff, her brother, Scott Ralston and his wife, Claudia, her sister, Carole Tipton and her husband, Randy, and her numerous nieces and nephews as well as all her many, many friends and colleagues.
