Elizabeth Bailie Powell

Mrs. Elizabeth Bailie Powell, 95, died on October 17, 2007. Born in Augusta, GA, she lived most of her life in Avondale Estates. Preceded in death by Robert, her husband of more than 50 years, she is survived by Leisa (Powell) and Paul Pedone of Morgantown, WV, Anne (Powell) and Kent Honeycutt of Bloomington, IN, and Nancy (Powell) and Bill Wadsworth of Lilburn, GA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Betsey, Matt, Rob, Kyle, Todd, Chris, Dana; and 10 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 20th at 2 p.m. at Columbia Presbyterian Church, Decatur, GA, Rev. Tom Hagood officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Columbia Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons. Inurnment will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, at Walker Family Cemetery, Augusta, GA, Platts Funeral Home.
