Elizabeth C. Laughlin

Mrs. Elizabeth C. Laughlin, age 83, of Decatur died Tuesday, September 2, 2008.  Born in Germany, she emigrated to the United States following World War II, married and eventually settled in Atlanta.  She taught for over 30 years at Clairmont Hills Baptist Church Kindergarten.  In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her friends by being active in aerobics classes and the garden club.  Travel was another passion and together with her husband Don, they traveled extensively around the world.  She was strong in her faith and continued attending services until late this summer.  Mrs. Laughlin was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Laughlin.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon L. Kendall and  Mark P. Elkins of Chamblee; her son and daughter-in-law, Eduard and Amy Laughlin of Falls Church, VA; and grandchildren, Grant and Benjamin  Kendall, Carl Elkins, Sarah Cox and Erich Laughlin.  Funeral services will be held at the Living Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. David Hardy officiating.  Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Those desiring to make contributions may do so to either the
