Elizabeth G. Honiker

Mrs. Elizabeth G. Honiker died Thursday, July 28, 2005 at her home in Marietta..  She had lived on Sue Lane in Decatur for 35 years before moving to Marietta to be closer to her family. She had been the secretary at Laurel Ridge Elementary School retiring in 1987. She was a member of Belvedere United Methodist Church and was a Grand Worthy Matron, Eastern Star, State of Georgia. Mrs. Honiker served as one of the Reunion Coordinators for the 622th Ordinance Battalion of WWII.  She was an avid reader and doll collector. She is survived by her son and daughter(in-law), Bill and Mary Honiker of Marietta; grandson, Michael Honiker of Cumming; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and  ?Sis? Novis Gazaway of Mableton, Gerald and Fran Gazaway of Palmetto; sister-in-law, Dean Sjostrom of Decatur; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 31st.    Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Those desiring may send contributions to Odyssey Hospice, 1140 Hammond Dr., Atlanta, GA 30346. Flowers are welcome. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
