Mrs. Elizabeth J. Pilgrim of Stockbridge died Saturday, April 4, 2009. She was a member of Honey Creek Baptist Church in Conyers. A loving mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver, she was an excellent cook. Mrs. Pilgrim was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Barbara Nichols, and her two step-sons, Jimmy Levon Pilgrim and Olcie Preston Pilgrim. She is survived by her husband, Olcie L. Pilgrim; sons, Jimmy Ray Summers and wife Becky, Donnie Ray Summers and wife Sonia, both of Stockbridge; daughters, Connie Summers Shadburn and husband Royce, Wanda Mae Pilgrim Fidler; daughter-in-law, Linda Pilgrim; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, B. H. Jones; sisters, Joyce Stephens, Rachael Raines; and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Rev. Vista McHone and Rev. Thad Chadwick will officiate. Interment will be at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm at A. S.
