Elizabeth Julia Huff Duncan of Decatur went home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2010 at the age of 88. She died from a massive stroke and a heart attack. She was a charter member of Clairmont Presbyterian Church. She worked as a postmistress at Containers and at the Oak Grove Hardware, and as a preschool teacher at Appletree Day School. Her family, her church, her Lord, and her dog Brady were the most important parts of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Merritt Charles Duncan, and a grandson, Michael Duncan. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Terry Mulford of Indialantic, FL and Marie and Henry Cates of Stone Mountain; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Carol Duncan of Franklin, and Brad and Angela Duncan of Hampton. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Robin Mulford, Neal (Carol) Mulford, Jennifer (Shereef) Mulford Abu al-Maati, Kim (Mark) Frazier, Tracie (Rusty) Doss, Josh (Elizabeth) Duncan, Jeremy (Corrie) Duncan, and Amanda Duncan. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, Saphiya, Sami, Hala, and Laila Abu al-Maati; Tori, Chandler and Nicole Mulford; Taylor and Clint Frazier; Dalton and Brittney Doss; Connor and Zachery Duncan; and Taegan Duncan. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 31 at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at A. S. Turner & Sons.
