Elizabeth Moore King

Elizabeth Moore King of Atlanta passed away on August 27, 2011 peacefully at her home in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born in Newnan, Coweta County, Georgia on December 22, 1922. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph King, her parents Pete and Elsie (Parrott) Moore, brothers James Christopher and Harold Edward Moore, and her son, Barry Moore King. Elizabeth is survived by her son Donald King, niece Kathy Metcalf and her children Richard and Joey Metcalf, grandchildren Michael and Karmen Caldwell, great grandchildren Kristina and Hannah Caldwell and former daughter-in-law Rhonda (King) Juhan and her husband Wayne Juhan. Elizabeth was a devoted Christian, as well as a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother and friend. She is loved by many and will be missed by all. The family will receive friends at A. S. Turner & Sons, 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, GA on Tuesday, August 30, 11:00am-1:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. The service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 31 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with the burial at the City of Decatur cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Society.
