Elizabeth N Dobbs

Elizabeth (Betty) North Dobbs of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on June 24, 2015 after many years of declining health. On July 10, 1926 she was born in Augusta, GA to William Eugene and Ethel Howell North. She grew up in Atlanta and graduated from Girls High. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Atlanta. Betty was predeceased by her parents and siblings, her husband of fifty-nine years, John Orin Dobbs and her daughter Nancy Dobbs Stinnett. Surviving are her children John Orin Dobbs, II of Playa Cofresi, Dominican Republic and Michael Allen Dobbs of Wellford, SC. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Betty retired from CandS Bank after 20 years and while there made many close friends who continued to maintain contact with her. She was faithful, loyal and devoted to all her friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Friday, June 26 in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons, 2773 North Decatur Rd. in Decatur. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Decatur. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
