Elizabeth "Lib" Scott Cunningham passed away August 2, 2012. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on July 28, 1923 and was a 1941 graduate of Knoxville High School. Lib was married to Donald Edward Cunningham. She was a self-taught artist and shared that talent with people of all ages, teaching classes for children, as well as older budding artists, at Life Enrichment. She was a member of the 41B Class in Knoxville, a long-time member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and the Graydon Class. She was a dear supportive wife, mother, and grandmother, affectionately known as "Nana." One of her great joys in life was to give to others. She did that well and often, responding to needs as she saw them by giving to those she knew and to some she never met.She is survived by a son Greg Cunningham and his wife Louise; a daughter Jan Butler and her husband Ed; three granddaughters, Kendall Butler Adams and her husband Josh, Mary Hunter Cunningham, and Kate Cunningham.A funeral service will be held at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Decatur on Saturday, August 4, at 11 am. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10 am in the church parlor. Donations can be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church or to St. Jude Children's Hospital. A.S.
