Elizabeth W. Kreiter

Elizabeth W. Kreiter, longtime resident of Decatur, passed away February 10, 2012. A memorial service for Mrs. Kreiter will be held at A. S. Turner & Sons, 2773 North Decatur Rd. on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mary Peters officiating. Mrs. Kreiter was born December 25, 1923 in Griffin, GA to the late, Nicholas and Mabel Westbrook. She moved to the Decatur area where she reared her family. She volunteered with several service organizations including the Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army and ESA Sorority. In later years she belonged to two bridge clubs. She was married to the late Ralph W. Kreiter and is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Bill) Philips of Atlanta; son, John (Kyle) Kreiter of CA; sister, Patricia Hilscher of Smyrna, GA; three granddaughters; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army, the Humane Society or Hospice Atlanta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at A. S. Turner Funeral Home and Crematory.
