Eloise Scott Steenberg

Eloise Scott Steenberg, age 86, passed away on December 31, 2010. A resident of Decatur, Georgia for more than 50 years, Ellie was born September 6, 1924, in Greenville, South Carolina. She was a fashion model for many years and went on to work at the Bridal Registry at Rich's until she retired. She enjoyed traveling and fine dining. She was an avid reader. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially the grandchildren. Ellie was predeceased by her husband, James L. Steenberg. She is survived by her three children: Karen Terrell of Houston, Texas, Richard Steenberg of Green River, Wyoming, Beth Sumpter of Avondale Estates, Ga.; and her four grandchildren: Spenser Lawrence Sumpter, Riley Larkin Sumpter, Richard Carson Scott Sumpter, all of Avondale Estates, and Katharine Adella Terrell of Houston. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 8, 2011, from 2-4 PM at home. A private interment is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
