Eloise Weeks Gibson

Mrs. Eloise Weeks Gibson, 85, of Decatur died Wednesday, January 19, 2005.  She was a graduate of Agnes Scott College and a charter member and ordained deacon of Scott Boulevard Baptist Church.  Mrs. Gibson was also a member of the North Decatur Lions Club and was employed with Rich's Department Store as an assistant buyer.  She is preceded in death by her grandson, Nathan Mansel Wages.  She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Claude Gibson, Jr.; daughter, Linda Gay Gibson Wages and her husband, Danny Morgan Wages; son, William Carey Gibson, Sr. and his wife, Lynn Ford Gibson; grandchildren, Elise Jewel Wages, Heather Elizabeth Farrar and her husband, Mark Timothy Farrar, Rebecca Lynn Mercer and her husband, Christopher James Mercer, William Carey Gibson, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Wesley Colin Gibson, and Hannah Elizabeth Farrar.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23rd at Scott Boulevard Baptist Church with Dr. T. Michael Davis officiating.  Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
