Emily Teal Barker, of Decatur, passed on January 19 just two months shy of her 100th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband, William Daniel (Bill) Barker of Hapeville, Ga. He was a pharmacist, and together they owned and operated Hapeville Drug Company. She enjoyed fishing and even hunting with Bill in the North Georgia mountains. Following his death, she moved to Decatur, where she has resided since. She retired from TELCO Credit Union after 20 years of service. Emily loved Churchill Downs, Daytona Beach, and most of all Lake Burton, Ga. Visitation is from 4-6 PM on Wednesday, January 26. Graveside service and internment will be Thursday, Westview Cemetery at 1PM.
