Ernestine L. Pitner

November 13, 1919 — February 11, 2005

Mrs. Ernestine L. Pitner of Tucker, Ga. passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2005, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Pitner. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Ann Pitner, Bishop; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Merle Zamzow, Loganville; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Herbert Waterhouse, Duluth; grandchildren, Julie Benkoski, Kenny Zamzow, Kimberly Zamzow and Melanie Zamzow; three great grandchildren; and loving caregiver, Pat Toomer. Mrs. Pitner was born in Dacula, Ga. and was a lifetime resident of metro Atlanta. She retired from the Atlanta school system after 20 years of service. In her retirement years, she enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Pitner was a longtime member of Highlands Presbyterian Church. The service will take place on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at A.S. Turner & Sons.
