Errol Adolphus Hamilton

July 26, 1952 — February 27, 2019

Errol Adolphus Hamilton - a son, father, grandfather, cousin and friend who was jovial, kind and warm He was born in Jamaica, West Indies on July 26, 1952 to Vera Smith and Ludeen Hamilton. Errol died suddenly on February 27, 2019 at the age of 66 years. He attended nthe Mico Practising School, St. Andrew Technicial High School and Walgrove College in Jamaica and studied electrical installation. Being an electrician was his passion and gift and he did it for the sheer joy. It was not all about the money; if it was, he would have been a wealthy man. He would extend his service for free, just to ensure that your house had electricity, according to the government standards and codes. Errol was father to Howard and Stacy and grandfather to Abigail. He loved his children and granddaughter dearly. His daughter recalls that he found humor in everything and was rarely fazed by the various challenges that life threw at him. He was a football fanatic and his weekend routine involved watching the English Premier League and was a die-hard supporter of Brazil and Manchester United; win or lose he would not sway. Errol was a jovial person who loved to socialize but also loved his privacy, so much that he could be considered a loner at times. Leoine, his daughter-in-law recounts the many hours of telephone conversations when he would share his varied and many experiences here in the USA. Many persons have attested to his kindness, sometimes even to the expense of his own well being. Stacy recalls an incident in which he missed his flight to the USA, but instead of being perturbed, he found comfort in assisting total strangers he met at the airport. Errol migrated to the USA in 2016 where his sister, Marilyn and his cousin, Judith welcomed him with open arms. Judith showed him around in Atlanta, and introduced him to First Baptist Church of Decatur, where he attended as he enjoyed the warm fellowship and care that was shown to him. Errol was a proud employee of Diamond Crystal, and shared that he was often called Grandpa, due to his full head of white hair. Errol's family is comforted by the fact that he was happy and loved living in the USA. Hiss last email on February 10, 2019, to his sister Ingrid stated that "everything is good with me". Gone , but not forgotten Pops, is the message from Howard, His son. Errol will forever be remembered by his mother, Vera, children Howard and Stacy, granddaughter, Abigail, sisters Marilyn and Ingrid Bennett, nephew, Damion, cousin Judith, in-laws Leonnie and Richard, relatives and friends in Jamaica and USA. May his soul rest in peace.
